Code of Conduct
In order to ensure and promote good sportsmanship and a safe environment for all, Stampede Sports has developed the following Code of Conduct for players, coaches and parents. Please familiarize yourself with our Code of Conduct prior to engaging in any activities at the Stampede.
A. For Players
1. Players will respect coaches, referees and arena staff at all times, including complying with their directions and obeying team rules.
2. Players will respect their teammates and refrain from insulting, criticizing, mocking, taunting or verbally abusing fellow teammates, including players on opposing teams.
3. Players will wear proper attire and foot ware at all times as directed by coaches and arena staff.
4. Physical threats or the display of violence is prohibited regardless of the circumstance. No fighting or threats of fighting will be tolerated at any time. Any violation of this rule will result in an immediate suspension.
5. Players will display good sportsmanship at all times. Although competition is healthy, discourteous and unsportsmanlike behavior is not. This means that you should not use abusive or rude language or profanity toward anyone. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate suspension.
6. No bullying, hazing or any similar behaviors will be tolerated at any time. Any instances of this type of conduct will result in immediate suspension and possible banning from the facility.
B. For Parents and Spectators
7. Parents and spectators will respect coaches, referees and arena staff at all times, including complying with their directions.
8. Parents and guardians will adhere to team schedules by ensuring that their children arrive at practices and games on time and prepared, as well as picking up children upon completion of practices and games.
9. Parents and spectators will never criticize other players. Such conduct does not promote good sportsmanship and instead causes divisiveness within a team and will not be tolerated in the arena.
10. Parents and spectators will display courteous behavior at all times at the arena, cognizant that adults must set a positive example.
11. Judgmental language or abusive language, profanity, or any outbursts are all unacceptable and will not be tolerated at the arena.
12. Any problems, questions or concerns should be brought to the attention of a coach, Stampede employee, or manager on duty.
C. For Coaches
13. Coaches will respect all players, parents, spectators, fellow coaches and arena staff at all times. This means that you will always display a positive attitude at the arena and offer only criticism that is constructive in nature, as opposed to judgmental, hostile or intimidating.
14. Coaches are responsible for keeping team players and parents/guardians informed of team schedules, practices, games, events and developments.
15. Coaches acknowledge that players view the coach as a leadership figure and role model. Accordingly, coaches must set a positive example at all times and never resort to inappropriate behavior, rude or profane language or violence or threats of violence. Any violation of this rule will lead to immediate suspension and possible removal from the arena.
16. Coaches will display good sportsmanship at all times, including behaving courteously and taking care of the playing fields, facilities and equipment.
17. Coaches will address any problem, issue or dispute with the arena manager on duty promptly.
